In your
letter or email to
Senators Conrad and Dorgan:
1. Clearly state
your request - for example, "I'm writing to ask you to
vote NO on the Chard Check legislation coming before the
Senate soon.
2. Support your
point briefly with the point you are most passionate
about.
3. Be positive
in presenting your ideas. You're much more likely to be
heard if you use respectful and friendly language,
rather than a tone of disapproval or criticism.
